Another Week…Another Incredible RETA Deal

It’s worth considering how our patience has already paid off…

Over the past few months, we’ve seen a number of RETA deals come to fruition, delivering exceptional returns to members who got in.

For instance, on my recent visit to Play del Carmen, I stopped by our RETA opportunity in Siempre Playa. Members bought there in 2017 at RETA-only pricing from $193,800.

It was an opportunity to lock down condos in the heart of what I call the “Zona Dorada,” or the Golden Zone in Playa. Today, the same unit type as the one we could lock down for $193,800 lists at retail for $314,333. A whopping paper gain of $120,533.

The first owners are now moving in. And I know of a number of two-bed condos getting ready to be rented for $1,900 per month.

Just south from Playa, along the Riviera Maya, RETA members are sitting pretty on numerous deals in Tulum…

One stop I made on my recent trip was to the construction site at Gran Tulum—the closest master-planned community to the beach—to explore the progress. On the very same morning I got the latest price list from the developer…

The entry price is now $263,000 and most units are listing for $275,000 and upward.

When I brought RETA members the opportunity in May 2019, our price was from $175,000.

That’s an $88,000 paper gain and I believe there’s more to come…

We’re also seeing large paper gains on an even shorter timeframe.

In February 2020, RETA members could buy two-bed homes in Edena, Tulum, for $149,000.

A few months later…in October homes were listing for $199,000.

And these are just the latest in a long run of incredible RETA deals we’ve had over our 13-year history.

To name just a few more…

  • A RETA member bought on Spain’s Costa del Sol in mid-2014 for €99,000. In July 2019, a similar unit was listed at €229,000.
  • In 2015, a RETA member paid $374,786 for a house in a 5-star beach and golf resort in Los Cabos. A similar house a few doors down sold for $675,000 in April 2020.
  • In Ireland in 2013, I recommended two-bed condos in Dublin’s financial district when you could buy at auction for €140,000. In July 2019, the list prices on similar two-bed condos was €365,000/€375,000. I suspect, they’re even higher today.
  • And of course, in Playa Caracol members bought beachfront and ocean view condos in 2017 from $199,000. In August 2019, a similar-sized condo farther back from the beach with only a side view listed for $299,000.

But we’re not resting on our laurels…
