Dona Maria Residences are so close to the water you can fish off the balcony of some condos and I’m told it’s the last community that will ever be developed this close to the water—the rules governing development having changed.
The strongest RETA opportunities have always been in the Western Algarve, and in Lagos in particular, which has seen huge growth thanks to the Path of Progress moving along the coast from Faro.
In November 2020, I recommended condos in a community called Adega in Lagos. One RETA member bought a condo there for €500,000. She has since sold it for €795,000. That’s an incredible profit of €295,000.
In December 2019, RETA members could buy in a community called Santa Maria, in Lagos, from €310,500. Currently, the two-beds that were selling there for €630,000 were going for as much as €850,000.
